I've been reading the blogs for 3+ years now and rarely comment, but today is a big day!! I admit I thought she was delusional enough to run....but did anyone else see Rachel Maddow tonight? She pointed out that SP said she wasn't going to seek the "GOP nomination" for 2012 - which doesn't preclude a third party run. I think that she could be just biding her time - I read somewhere that independents have until Jan 1 to declare their candidacy? It is true that if you're president there will be a lot of lies told about you. Just look what has happened to Obama! He's been implied to be a friend of terrorists (even though it turns out that he killed bin Laden), had his citizenship questioned (Sarah endorsed Trump's bringing this up - where's Trig's bc, honey?), been accused of creating "death panels" when he was trying to give people health care!

The bots can't take what Nicole Wallace is saying. Since the disclaimer at the beginning of any book says it is not base on the living.. Let me say something here. Every character in many novels in some way based on someone living or dead. Usually a composite. @curioser--Absolutely, the Senate should investigate the candidate vetting process, and the so-called vetting of Sarah Palin in 2008 in particular. In Nicolle Wallace's book "It's Classified" the POTUS is threatened with impeachment when her VP's mental illness comes to light. The question was "What did the POTUS know and when did she know it?" What McCain and Co. (Including Schmidt and Wallace) tried to foist upon the American people was criminal, in my book.

Well, thank goodness, we now have some report of Dr. CBJ giving good, evidence based medical advice. Of course Sarah was advised against flying in her third trimester with Piper. @phantomimic...completely agree. The Octomom made the decision to have 8 babies, knowing that some or all of them would certainly have disabilities. Would that make her supremely qualified also to become VP or president in the eyes of these voters? 10/10/2011 03:43:45 am
@Olivia Precisely, and there is also the opposite situation. A man may not be an ideal candidate from the "values" point of view because say he is a womanizer (remember Clinton?). But he may have what it takes to be an excellent president based on the "gets the job done" point of view. Of course we would like the president to embody certain core values, but we have to be aware that we are restricting the pool of competent candidates by doing this. Comments are closed.
