Perfidy of Sarah Palin - Part II

Courtesy of Lidia17.  Excellent work and worth a good, long look, especially in view of Karl Rove now asking for full disclosure of Michelle Bachmann's medical records in light of the information that has come out about her migraine headaches. Things that make you say, "Oh really?"

Thank you, Lidia, for putting together this really comprehensive and polished piece.

Agreed, excellent work Lidia!

Listening to this story again, I am once again shocked at her statement about not flying if she thought she was in active labor.

35 weeks into my first pregnancy I went from no contractions at all to contractions every 3 minutes within the space of 15-20 minutes. My child was born within an hour. Things can change so fast at that stage of pregancy. Every mother, especially one who's already given birth 4x, knows this.

Lidia17 -- Wonderful! So well done. I hope it will be on YouTube and go viral. Congratulations. I've always meant to tell you I love the title typeface -- it always reminds me of The Scarlet Letter, that era, and the red "A." And esp the sins of Rev Dimmesdale. I bet he would be a rel-right-Repub if he lived today.

Another great Lidia vid! Only thing it's missing (for me) is a voiceover of Sarah telling one audience in 2009 how Trig was born at Matsu Hospital in Wasilla and another audience a year later that he was born in Anchorage.

Also is it just me or does anyone else find it odd that she refers to an almost 6.5 lb baby as 'so tiny' ? Six lbs is rather normal I thought.

Why doesn't she have that aggravating affectation in her voice when she is narrating her book and speaking to the reporter?

These videos are superb, they leave NO doubt in my mind that the half-term half-wit was NOT pregnant when she claimed to be. We need to find a way to get the videos out to the mainstream.

I think it most important to continue to stress that Palin either A) thoughtlessly put her unborn baby at tremendous risk with the "wild ride" or B) brazenly attempted a pregnancy hoax. Either demonstrates extraordinarily poor judgment.

Still a great video! Thank you Lidia. The Only suggestion I have which IMHO would add alot of impact is at the frame where Sarah states that "Desperation for this baby overwhelmed me"...then put in where she says she didn't want to disappoint the people at the energy conference. Well, it seems as a mother if desperation for your baby overwhelmed you, the energy conference people would not matter a hoot. More like "desperation for my ambitions overwhelmed me" .
I hope more and more people get to see this video as it makes a very strong presentation of the hoax.

Wow, seeing and hearing all that makes you wonder if this woman is insane! And it becomes very obvious that she was not, indeed, pregnant. She wore her little suit for the speech, and then packed it for the trip home, as it would have been obvious that she 'looked' pregnant when she wore it, and the airlines might have refused to fly her home for the big charade. And this woman thinks she should be President? She doesn't have the morals of a snail, the brains of an ant, nor the empathy of a rock. Go away, Sarah, and take your lies with you.

I think one of the clearest indicators that Sarah Palin was never pregnant with Trig is the way she constantly says in various clips gathered here that she was "four or five weeks early." Four OR five? Which was it, Sarah? You were pregnant and you didn't know how long you had left? We're to believe she never bothered to do the math?

Seriously, what mother can't tell you EXACTLY how early or late her baby was? Five days late. Three weeks early. At thirty weeks gestations. These are the things "moms just kinda know." (They also remember them forever.)

Also agree with the previous commenter that previous birth experiences mean nothing. I labored with my first for nearly 24 hours, the second child was born 30 minutes after my first labor pain. It happens.

Your videos, Lidia, are my go-to now when friends don't know the hoax story. I've given the links out several times. Thank you for doing your part to not just stop Sarah Palin, but to help insure that this kind of national political figure doesn't happen again and sully the good name of WOMAN.

Yes, REAL birth mothers remember just about everything about the births of their children, forever. My 91 y/o mother will tell anyone who wants to listen that I was born 28 days late, she was in labor for more than 24 hours, and that I came out "bass ackwards". She remembers the same sort of info on my brother. Those births occurred more than 60 years ago!

So it seems that Sarah doesn't remember where Trig was born, how many weeks early he was, or who delivered him (or one of the babies) TO Mat Su for the photo op.

Sarah as Trig's BIRTH mother? Not plausible.

@OzMud, I didn't include the Anchorage discrepancy because the news about that came out about a week after I'd already made the video and posted it.

You can't update these like a blog entry; you have to upload a whole new video with a new link, not the one you'd worked hard to disseminate earlier. (They also take several hours just to upload.)

@Ottoline, it IS on YT, and has been for almost a year. I keep thinking that it is going to attract attention but by the number of views it apparently has not. I think by now Sarah is "old news" for many people.

===========
I wrote this to Laura but she's been understandably busy, so I will open it up to anyone who's reading the thread:

---
...I just got so sick of the whole thing not getting any notice that I didn't have the heart (although I have enough material) for a third "chapter" which I was going to call "The Morning After".

I was going to include the Carey and CBC clips, the conflicting info about Lori Tipton, etc. [this could be where the Anchorage statement comes in] and no one seeing Sarah at the hospital [except now Frank Bailey says he did—it wouldn't be ethical to ignore that—but, do I care about being ethical when it comes to SP? Hmmm.] Then I was going to end it with a re-cap of the Wild Ride as told by Audrey, which I thought was really well-written, found here:
http://www.palindeception.com/blog/2009/06/pulling-palin-my-response-to.html
starting at the point where she talks about "working the story knowing how it ends". And then end with the little re-cap of the photo comparison, "we know", etc.

I don't know if this is worth doing. These take quite a while to put together, but I would like to "complete the oeuvre" as I had it mapped out in my mind. Do you have any thoughts?

Another thing I am worried about in general is that people have just written Sarah off and have become over-saturated, so I feel as though anything I put out at this time is going to get even less attention than it would have a year ago.
----------------------

I can't guarantee that I will take up a third project, but throw out any ideas you have.

A big problem is fitting everything in to the (now 15-min.) time limit, but at the same time some people have complained that the existing videos are too long.

@ Lidia

Please keep up the good work and do a 3rd film!

Polls now show Palin would come in ahead of Bachmann, and only slightly behind Romney, if she were to officially enter the race.

People are still paying attention, obviously. Imagine a Romney-Palin ticket.

I'll bet that is what Obama would have had to run against in 2008 if McCain hadn't prevailed to top the ticket.

The video is exceptionally well done. There are other discrepancies in Palin's story that I'd love to see memorialized -- CBJ's statement that Sarah didn't ask for permission to fly is one -- but I realize the time constraints of the format and think Lidia did an extraordinary job.

It's fascinating that Sarah used her book to contradict what was already on the record. It's seems she emphasized God's role. Sarah knew it was okay to fly because she prayed and received God's assurance everything would be okay...and she beefed up CBJ's supervisory role.

Lidia - It seems anything additional you decide to do would be helpful. I do have a different reaction to Audrey's argument against the wild ride. If we use Audrey's reasoning about Sarah's image-consciousness keeping her off the plane, wouldn't we conclude that Sarah would insist her children wear seat belts in moving vehicles? Imagine if there were an accident and one of her unsecured children were badly injured. Yet, we know Sarah took/takes that risk and even allowed her children to be filmed without seat belts. Bailey's book makes the case that Sarah's last straw with Walt Monegan was that he gave her a head's up about criticism that Trig had been seen in a car when he wasn't in an approved carseat. Yes, she's self-conscious and she abhors criticism but she sometimes doubles down on questionable behavior rather than modify it. I also wonder if she convinces herself that she and her children are invincible, in spite of contradictory evidence. I just think she's crazy. And...she wasn't pregnant.

Interesting all the fuss the last few days the fuss over Bacmann's migraine's and their effect on her fitness for office. Almost no one in the media questioned the Wild Ride and what it demonstrates about her fitness for office. If she runs, I hope the questikns come loud & clear. They won't come but a girl can wish.

You do the videos so well that I would say "complete the oeuvre!" -- except I too am soooooooooo dismayed by the lack of interest.

My thinking now is perhaps a really simple message is all we have a hope of getting across: and I vote for "she was not pregnant; Palin hoaxed us." I also think that it's quite amazing that NO ONE who thinks she gave birth will explain the Mar 14 photo. Nor will Trignostics.

Even my friends who are willing to listen to me natter on about this subject would not spend 45 min watching a video about it. Even 15 min is too much for them. A huge lack of interest in Palin.

But if it was me, I'd finish the third one. Maybe after it all comes out, or after the McGinniss book is out, your videos will become an overnight sensation. I sure hope so!

@curiouser, I have been inclined to stay away from statements that sound possibly second-hand. I don't think the "permission to fly" was a direct quote, but I can check.

I wasn't planning to use all of that long statement; I would edit it down, and I think you're right about it being too focused on certain types of appearances. However, I believe it's true that Palin would not have risked a possible emergency birth en route, had she actually been pregnant——not because of what people would write about it later, but because of the immediate embarrassment and being in a position lacking control.

Sarah did not contact or go to a hospital in Texas because she was not pregnant.

Enough said...

I say she got a phone call from Bristol saying she had just given birth to Trig and Sarah flew home.

No records of a birth for Trig anywhere and births are always published in papers.

Did CBJ say she delivered Trig from Sarah?

@lidia - Hypothetically (because there's maybe 0.5% of a chance Palin got on a plane while she was in labor) and from an evangelical perspective, I suggest she wouldn't have felt she was taking any risk. The God factor is significant; all of her decisions keep her in God's will. God put it in her heart to get home to AK. Had there been a risk, He would have stopped her from getting on the plane or otherwise informed her heart to stay in Dallas.

I don't think she got a call from Bristol that she had given birth. I think they knew the baby known as Trig was ready to be picked up and they chose a time when they could easily slip into the hospital and run the game.

If you think about it, it makes perfect sense to set it up so that Sarah Palin was in Texas, had to fly home, and "delivered" Trig under the cover of darkness.

If Sarah had gone into fake labor anywhere in Alaska, there would be too many people around who we would expect to be alerted and waiting, including Sarah Palin's staff and even her own family. She didn't have to duck out of meetings, call in sick, pretend to labor at home, or explain her absence.

Instead, it was just Todd and Sarah, surrounded by strangers. Then, voila! Baby!!

Wonderful video(s), Lidia. Thank you so much for creating them! Someday they will be "noticed" and appreciated by more than the faithful. As Andrew Sullivan says, Know hope.

This discussion has prompted me to write a comment on a subject I've been thinking about recently. It ties into the whole "Wild Ride" conundrum.

While reading Frank Bailey's book, I came across some intriguing information about Sarah Palin and her security detail in early 2008.

On page 170 of "Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin," Bailey wrote: "And if safety was a real concern, Sarah forgot all about that when she complained about the inconvenience of having troopers accompany her on trips in and out of state. In an email to Todd on March 4, 2008, copied to those of us who would follow up, she ordered, 'No more security. It's a flippin waste of money.'"

Notably, Bailey characterized that communiqué as epitomizing "the worst of Sarah's dysfunctional psyche and administration, including the compulsion to attack enemies, deny truth, play victim, and employ outright deception." [ibid.] (And yet he really believes she gave birth to Trig? Hmmm.)

The Crivella West database doesn't contain that particular email; however, it does provide several emails to/from Palin's Detail Commander Gary Wheeler and other staff during February-March 2008 on the topic of reducing security.

Considering the Palins' demonstrable hypersensitivity to alleged stalkers, predators, and other hostile forces, it's curious that she would wish to dispense with the governor's standard AST escort.

One would think that, despite the cost and regardless of any verifiable threats, a prominent political family with young children would gratefully accept any and all security provided by the state. And, in light of other significant events that occurred during the first week of March, 2008, it seems more than coincidental that Palin commanded on March 4th that there be "No more security."

Also of note is Sarah's astonishing request on April 14, 2008 -- the day before she was scheduled to fly to Dallas for the RGA, and supposedly eight months pregnant with a Down Syndrome baby -- that just Todd, rather than a state trooper, accompany her on the trip.

This begs the question: What didn't the governor want her bodyguards to see?

@Lidia17,

Great job on Perfidy Part 2 as well as Part 1. There is a lot of value in having a comprehensive overview of Babygate in only a couple of clips like you've done here. So kudos and thanks!

I know you expressed concern about the 15 min length possibly being too long, but I think you did well in using all of the time on the vid effectively to get your message on there.

There's just no way to get everything on the vids without producing a feature-length 2-hr movie. Hmmm...

Vefifica, how interesting that Palin decided to eliminate security just 3 days before her announcement of pregnancy, and despite her daughters allegedly being threatened with rape.

What are security staff trained to be? Observant. Where are they? Within eyesight nearly all the time.

Does Britta Hanson Palin look far more pregnant when she is due in August than Sarah Palin did in the March 14? Shot in the blackish suit with her ever handy scarf.

Britta, the baby shower shots.

Britta, young and fit, can't hold her belly in like her mid 40 year old MIL?

Amazing abs on MIL. I guess she was wearing spanx...industrial strength.
